Philadelphia Eagles Veterans Stadium demolition

The Eagles will move to plush Lincoln Financial Field next season after 32 years at Veterans Stadium; they intend to say goodbye by hosting the NFC title game Jan. 19.

A home victory against the Redskins and road wins against the Cowboys and Giants would ensure a first-round bye and a conference championship game at home if Philadelphia wins in the divisional round.

“If they can implode it, I wish I could be the one to do it,” former Eagles receiver Harold Carmichael said of the creaky Vet. “If not, I would like to get in that machine with the big wrecking ball and knock it down. It’s a toilet.”

For the Eagles, however, it’s the pathway to the Super Bowl.
