At 34 years old, Shannon Sharpe isn’t exactly ancient.
But after 13 years of head-banging in the NFL, there isn’t much that can make you feel young again.
Not even 12 catches for a club-record 214 yards, which is what Sharpe had Sunday for the Denver Broncos. His performance also set an NFL record for tight ends, breaking the mark of 212 yards by St. Louis’ Jackie Smith in 1963 against Pittsburgh.
“Do I feel 10 years younger? Nah,” Sharpe said after the game. “I’m the old man, remember?”
